Haydn works with people. In 2004 he graduated from the Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) with a Bachelor of Theology and in 2005 he commenced pastoral ministry in the Moreton Bay region in Brisbane’s North. There he had the privilege of ministering in two churches, before pioneering community chaplaincy in the same region, for the next six years. Throughout these years, he has served as a Chaplain in the Army Reserve.
The name padre poet was given to Haydn in 2018. Throughout 2018 creativity flowed with poetry being written, facilitating drum circles, and co-facilitating contemplative men’s retreats. Haydn is a spiritual director in the Brisbane North area who offers companioning to people from all walks of life.
Haydn’s formal education includes: Diploma of Public Safety (Military Chaplaincy); Bachelor of Theology; Master of Arts, and formation as a Spiritual Director.
Haydn moved to Queensland from Victoria in his early twenty’s and has accepted Brisbane as his home. He is married to Bronwyn and has two teenage sons. His passions are AFL football, percussion, and enjoying time with family and friends in the outdoors.
