Sophisticated global systems connect the world. Artificial intelligence is central to how society operates.

Genetic engineering has blurred boundaries between natural and synthetically produced creations.

Sex is fluid. Influence has replaced money as the key measure of worth.

Space is the new frontier, with mining established on the moon.

The discovery that the online system is manipulating the truth threatens the future of humanity. The Cheif Shepherd of Earth forms a desperate alliance that risks everything to combat the powerful force seizing control.

  1. Rob Clifford

2101: Spark of Hope is a fast paced, entertaining and sobering tale set in the near future. Anyone wondering where our dependence on online affirmation and technology might take us should read this.

  2. Tammy Champ

An intriguing story that explores the future of life on earth, under the sea, in space and the controversial themes of AI, overpopulation and female domination while maintaining a fast paced un-put-downable story. Kyle Gimpl takes the reader on a thought provoking journey through a very plausible future where technological advancements that we can only imagine are weaved into an exciting journey by a cast of characters who form unlikely relationships along the way. Kyle is an author to watch  –  I can’t wait for the sequel to see what happens next.

  3. Hayley McIver BChE

2101 Spark of Hope is a delightfully technical exploration into a very realistic AI based and female dominated future. The world that Kyle Gimpl has conjured from his vivid and complex imagination was enthralling and I simply couldn’t put this book down.

The intricate plot connected a group of unlikely heroes working together to save the human race, set in the backdrop of a very plausible future, and a thriller-esque series of events was a joy to read.

I found myself fully immersed in the world and characters that Kyle has created. I was devastated when I got to the end of the book. I felt very connected to the characters and was fascinated to learn their diverse backgrounds and viewpoints. I am eagerly anticipating the sequel! But in the meantime the story was so loaded with information, I will be able to read 2101SOH several more times and find new details that I hadn’t noticed before.
